Pupils with special educational needs

Classes are mixed ability and all children have access to a broad and balanced curriculum.

However, the work set matches the individual pupil’s needs and abilities, and children whose learning difficulties are more severe receive intensive tuition. Children with particular learning needs and/or behavioural difficulties may, with their parent’s consent, be referred to relevant outside support agencies.

A copy of the school’s Special Education Needs Policy may be obtained from the Head Teacher.

SEN Coordinator: Mrs Biggs

Provision is made for children with all types of Special Education Needs. Children may receive support by being monitored at Basic Entitlement or if they have needs, which are different from additional to Basic Entitlement, an Individual Education Plan will be written at School Action Stage and the progress monitored by the SENCO.
