School meals

In September 2005 we introduced Hot School Meals as an option for all children. All children in receipt of Free School Meals now receive a Hot School Meal. All other children may order a hot meal. The order needs to be placed on the previous Thursday.
Currently the meals cost £2.15 for KS1 and £2.30 for KS2 per day. Further information and a copy of the 3 week rotating menu can be obtained from the School Office. Children staying at school for lunch are not allowed to leave the premises without written requests from parents. Children going home to lunch should not return before 1.20 pm. The eating of food such as biscuits and crisps at school during breaks is discouraged, but children may bring an item of fruit if they wish.
Parents receiving Income Support or Job Seekers Allowance, Child Tax Credit and support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 (Income based) are urged to apply if they feel they may qualify. The School budget is increased by the number of pupils who qualify for free meals, even if parents prefer their children to provide their own.
Parents wishing to obtain the necessary forms should contact the office.
