About our School
Birchfield Community Primary School and Pre-school was established in 1974.
We are a co-educational school for pupils aged 2 – 11 with 405 pupils in our primary school and a further 67 on the roll of our Preschool.
We work hard to provide a stimulating, challenging and enjoyable range of educational opportunities for all of the children particularly through our “Creative Curriculum”. This is a Topic-based, skills-based curriculum which has been designed by our staff, based on the 2014 National Curriculum, with the interests, needs and skills of Birchfield children at its centre. We often hold themed days to enrich our curriculum further and parents/carers are welcome to join us for these!
There are many other exciting features to our school – from the many After school clubs that we run, our Breakfast and Teatime clubs, our educational visitors, trips and residential school journeys, the array of activities that FoBs (Friends of Birchfield School) put on for us and our links with the local community. Details on all of these and more can be found on this website!
